A Contest: Name Our Mascot!

Hello everyone!
For the past 4 years we've had this wonderful Samurai Jackalope for a mascot. This year we even have an actual costume mascot you may have seen at various events! Well, I think it is about time to give our mascot a name. Until now we've just been calling him "Bob", but that won't do at all!
For the next two weeks we are accepting nominations for mascot names! All you have to do is respond here with your idea, send me a Pm, or send me an email with your mascot name. Then on the 13th of September at Samurai Comics, the name will be voted on! Get your nominations in!
Be sure to come visit Samurai Comics at their Indian School location on Saturday the 13th for this and more fun!

I want you! Yeah you!
For the next 6 months we will be reaching far and wide in the community to help make AniZona great again! What better people to help out than all of you! We already have our lineup of cool events ready to go for the Fall and some of the Spring. Now what we need is some down-and-dirty grass-roots (love hyphens!) word-spreading! There is a plan in place for this as well, but you have to let me know you are interested. We will do most of our business on the phone and through the internet, except in the cases I need to distribute materials to the team. If you really want to get involved, we will also be holding regular marketing meetings. Benefits! The top five members of my team will qualify for staff status, and all the benefits it brings. Marketing is a lot of work before-con, and not so much at-con. This means you can enjoy a good portion of the convention at the discounted price and not be pestered too much about staff stuff! Unless you want to of course =) What I need most: Folks with transportation who aren't afraid to confront people with information about our events! I am also in great need of actual high school students who can do the same, though transportation isn't as important. Then, of course, I am always looking for that one individual who wants to go above-and-beyond and do some higher-level marketing. I can also use more artists! Looking for Artist Alley/Panelists

Hello good people of AniZona,
We are looking for an individual to run the artist alley at AniZona this year. Unfortunately if we do not find someone we won't have a artist alley for this convention.
Also, we are looking for fans interested in hosting panels at the convention. Panels can be a great way to share your expertise/talents with others fans at AniZona.

August AniZona Meeting!

That's right, it is that time of the month again! Just like every third Sunday, this Sunday we will be having our monthly AniZona meeting. This is an open meeting, anyone can attend! Come and see what we are doing and planning! It is always fun and exciting to see a few new faces.
The meeting place is JB's Restaurant, from 3pm to 5pm. For the address, go up on the "More" menu and press Meetings!
